To identify the quality of wires and cables, you can focus on the following points:
1. Check the copper material: High-quality cables use high-purity oxygen-free copper, and the copper core is bright; inferior copper has a dull color.
2. Measure the full square and full meters: Weigh the weight of the entire roll. If it is significantly lighter than the nominal or similar products, the copper diameter may be insufficient or the length may be short. Wires with a diameter ≥5mm can require a rice mark for verification.
3. Look at the craftsmanship and structure:
(1) Wire bundle: Cut open the core wire and check whether the multiple strands of copper wire are twisted regularly. Failure to bundle the wire will affect the performance.
(2)} Braided layer (if any): The coverage should be high and the braiding should be tight and even to ensure the shielding effect and strength.
(3) Roundness: Multi-core cables should be full and round. Too little filling or too thin sheath will cause deformation.
(4) Test the insulation layer: bend the cable. High-quality virgin plastic has good elasticity and no texture; inferior recycled plastic is prone to texture or even breakage.
In short, by observing the material, weighing and comparing, and inspecting key processes, the quality of the cable can be effectively judged.
